As far as I am concerned this book is not just for parents but grandparents that helped raise their grandchild or grandchildren. I lost my granddaughter in September 1999. Although I am not her mom, she lived with us and it still hurts so deeply. Reading every page has brought me closer to realizing that my granddaughter is still living on in my heart. That its OK to be sad on days that remind me of her sweet smile. One of those days was just this past Saturday, when I just could not explain to anyone what I was feeling. I just wanted to be alone. After reading this book, it allowed me to escape and to know that my granddaughter is O.K. and it was O.K. for me to feel what I felt at the moment. Grieving is a personal thing. And no one can tell you that they know how you feel... because no one knows but YOU. Thank you Ms. Stowe, for writing those words on the pages and allowing others to know that sometimes we just want to feel what we feel.
